Hello Jordon,

While Facebook has greater reach than Twitter, it does not have Twitter's immediacy. So I would use Facebook for updates that are valid for more time than the minute-by-minute approach you can take with Twitter.

On Facebook you can post things like "Come see us today at the XYZ show" along with very good reasons to see you -- a contest, an offering, a top level employee, or the launch of your latest new product.

Post pictures of your booth, your new product, the giveaway, whatever you are talking about. And post videos, too, of a tour of your booth, or a short demo of your new product. You can do double duty here -- create content to entice show visitors to come see you, and also create valuable content that will have a life after the show.

Everyone is linked into some form of social media, and I agree that you can use these methods easily for getting word out about your trade show. One of the easiest ways to build a following is through Facebook. This article gives a detailed approach for publicizing your trade show through Facebook, and it is worth reading! Here is the article: http://www.map-dynamics.com/blog/2272/Facebook--Building-a-Following.html

Also, how would you suggest using Facebook during the show? I would be interesting in hearing your thoughts!
